All EcoBaby mattresses are high-quality, organic mattresses with no plastic components, no PBDE fire retardents, no silica, and no boric acid.
This Ecobaby mattress has a natural rubber core with European organic cotton and pure wool quilted to organic cotton mattress ticking to keep padding from shifting. Wool is important because it provides natural flame retardance, water-resistance, bacterial resistance and dust mite control. Wool also provides natural cooling and moisture wicking. Your infant will stay at his normal comfortable temperature! The organic wool and cotton are quilted together and wrapped around the core. EcoBaby's wool and cotton fibers are processed at their own facility, which only handles natural, organic fibers so your baby can sleep without any chemical residues.
Natural rubber forms the core of this mattress, creating a firm mattress. Moms loves that this durable rubber mattress is so much easier for changing sheets than an innerspring, because rubber is lightweight. EcoBaby uses only Latex Green natural rubber cores. After many years of research, they have determined that these cores are the most natural in existence. No artificial vanillin (petrochemical) and no fillers as found in Talalay natural rubber cores. No benzene, toluene, or pthalates as found in many other Dunlop processed natural rubber. Passes all safety regulations and CPSC guidelines.
